From vaudeville, nightclubs, radio and film, Mickey has had a distinguished career in show business. Among his many and varied accomplishments and honors are:

This revue consisted of 12 acts which included: “Gay Ninety’s” theme & “The Singing News Boy” act (Andy Anderson plays Bowery Boss Chuck Conner and the Steve Brodie Quartette) This Vaudeville Revue was later turned into a Film “The Bowery” 1933, with Wallace Beery, George Raft, and Jackie Cooper playing Mickey’s (Bowery boy pal) part. Alternated with Phil Harris as MC (Phil Baker played accordion for Fanny Brice, in the “Crazy Quilt” revue) & (Phil Harris was on the Jack Benny Show since 1934, playing the jive-talking hipster bandleader. So when Phil Harris (in real life) married the glamorous and talented movie star Alice Faye, it seemed more like a match made in Hollywood than in Heaven. They knew each other from the old days of the Rudy Vallee Show, and were both radio veterans when they decided, in the Benny tradition, to work together professionally, using their own show-biz personas. Hey, Ozzie and Harriett had done well with it!)

(In 1925, there were approximately 1500 theaters in the vaudeville circuits; by 1930, only 300 were left. Of the 700 RKO circuit theaters, only 5 were still offering a "vaudeville only" bill; the rest were sharing their space or providing bills solely filled with films. RKO, the successor of the Keith-Orpheum vaudeville Circuit, then included the NBC radio network and RKO Pictures. The theaters owned by this entertainment organization were wired for the presentation of the new "talking" pictures.)

- “Call for Phillip Morris” Radio Ad - Backup voiceover for Johnny Roventini, who was the famous page boy from New York, NBC studios, where Philip Morris' weekly radio program, a musical variety show under the supervision of orchestra conductor Ferdinand Rudolph Grofe.
- “Swingtime” Radio Show - created by Ed Lowry, who also discovered Ginger Rogers.

- Prima Midway Café (1934 Chicago World’s Fair-A Century of Progress),Chicago, IL. – starred in the “Bowery Follies” revue.
- Oriental Theater, Chicago, IL.
– co-starred with Wally Vernon (In 1934, Francis Gumm, a.k.a., Judy Garland, and her Sisters, who were touring the vaudeville circuit as "The Gumm Sisters", performed in Chicago at the Oriental Theater with George Jessel, who reportedly suggested they change their surname from Gumm to Garland. - Roxy Theater, New York City, NY.
- co-starred with the famous “Rockettes” (Missouri Rocket Girls. This troupe of precision dancers became well known throughout St. Louis. They we so successful that they toured the country, eventually settling at the famed Roxy Theatre in New York City where they were renamed as “Roxyettes”. The Radio City Rockettes first kicked to life in 1925 as the "Missouri Rockets" and made their show business debut in St. Louis, the realization of a long-time dream of their creator, Russell Markert.) - Coconut Grove, Hollywood, CA. with Phil Harris
-“Pictures on the Coast” revue, (one of the 1st coast to coast broadcasts). - Cave Nightclub–Cabaret, Vancouver, B.C.
