My mother, sister and I were in Myrtle Beach, SC and had the pleasure of meeting Mickey at Broadway at the Beach as he was at the opening of a store there, signing autographs on some posters of the Wizard of Oz. We were curious at the commotion in the store, and curiously, we went inside. What a treat and surprise to have met one of the original munchkins. We stood there and listened to his stories for over an hour....what a pleasure it was to meet him! It was a genuine honor to meet him, and today, that autographed poster still hangs in my hallway. I am so sorry to learn of his passing....he was such a joy! Rest in peace, Mickey. "Follow the Yellow Brick Road....."

I had the pleasure of knowing Mickey, he got his hair cut at the barber shop I went to. My daughter loves the Wizard of Oz and one day I went to get my hair cut and Mickey came in. I asked if I could go and get my daughter and told him I would like for her to me you. He was like sure, I'll be waiting, I have no where to go at this moment. I brought her up and she was able to get her picture taken with him and so did I. Not only was it a special day for her but it was pretty cool for me. He showered her with gifts and autographs, she was so excited. There was another time I was up there and Mickey was telling stories of the old days and the people he hung out with. It was like having a piece of history being told to you by the person who lived it. I remember I didn't even get my hair cut that day but it was totally worth it. We will always love The Wizard of Oz and Mickey Carrol. We will miss you Mickey, God Bless.

I had the honor of meeting Mickey in Nashville TN a few years ago. He was a charming man that was very loveable. I have a picture of myself and Mickey in my livingroom. He will be sadly missed. My condolences to his family and friends. He was also kind enough to autograph a lithograph from the Wizard of Oz for me that is proudly displayed in my home. I will see you again Mickey one day over the rainbow, until then you will never be forgotten. Much Love Susan Lewis

I had the pleasure of meeting Mickey years ago, at a business convention in Las Vegas. He was there with his Agent, signing photographs. Mickey was a very kind and interesting man. He will always be remembered. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends. He brought great joy to the millions of people who saw him in the Wizard of Oz. What a spectacular role he played. God Bless Him.
