I met Mickey several years ago when he came to Overland Park Kanasas to participate in the Peter Marshall charity golf tournament. He was so nice and polite to allow my son to take a picture of me standing next to him. He was especially attentive to all the children who had come to see him. I always remember that he ask if we wanted to hear him say the line from the Wizard of Oz movie "Follow the yellow brick road." I will never forget meeting him.

I remember the thrill of seeing the Wizard of Oz every chance that I could. Every year we would gathered around our black and white tv set. I was even more exciting as an adult when I could see a horse of a different color!! I was spell bound! Meeting this man was one of the greatest momments of my life. I loved the wonderful personality. I am a teacher and he told me that his favorite fans were teachers. He said that he admired me... I have our picture up in my class. I coach our local high school softball team. We wear red cleats and before every up bat, I repeat... there is no place like home. Now, Mickey is home. I will meet you again.

Hi! I just wanted to say I had the pleasure of working with Mickey when he came to TN. I met him at the Opry Mills Mall here in Nashville while he had a booth here. I was 14 years old and I am now 21! I talked with him about how much I LOVED WIZARD OF OZ! I have loved it my whole life! He told me he would LOVE for me to dress up as Dorothy and take pictures with people so I did! I came back everyday the whole time he was here in TN and dressed up as Dorothy. It was so much fun! I have pictures if you would like to see them! He was so kind and he made my dream come true! He is truly missed. Thanks Mickey for making so many people so happy!
